Also well worth getting in the way of uncommon variations at gdlive: July 17 (and July 16th) 1966 - the amazing sound quality (for a live recording this far back) is among thee best.

June 7th may have an edge over June 6th...

Yes, May 15th 1970 from Fillmore East NYC is a hella shinier gem of great length, and is amazingly still free for all to stream here on the archive...


Yet if I had to choose from experience rather than sound quality or availability of circulating tapes, I'd say the April, June and August '70 runs are the best Grateful Dead shows ever of all the ones I attended.

None of which compare to the power of the October 10-13 run of 1968, imho!
